Executive Solution Architect – Federal – Multiple Openings

Responsibilities

As a Executive Solution Architect on our team you will:

  • Have direct accountability for solution development activities of the Federal government pursuit lifecycle:
  • Lead the development of innovative and strategic, customer driven solutions throughout the pursuit lifecycle for major pursuit efforts, keeping into consideration cost, schedule, function, quality, and other business requirements
  • Provide technical leadership for pursuit strategy through the creation and marketing of discriminating value propositions, as well as providing strategic and tactical advice to senior leadership and client service teams to enhance the likelihood of a win based on requirements and client knowledge
  • Brainstorm solutions with pursuit teams to provide experience-based advice with the ability to drive strategy and solutions that result in a winning proposal
  • Work closely with internal product and technology teams to identify and mitigate product/functionality gaps required to deliver a solution
  • Utilize the company’s position as a trusted advisor to strengthen existing programs:
  • Identify solution roadmaps to improve current customer capabilities
  • Leverage innovative thinking, thought leadership, and knowledge of technology and solutions to enhance current offerings
  • Manage activities involved in the development and revision of major proposals, white papers, and briefings, coordinating with the collective team to define technical approaches and solutions for inclusion
  • Work with internal enabling areas including pricing, compliance, risk, security, and contracts to ensure all aspects of a proposal are addressed
  • Lead the design and development of key solution artifacts including architecture documents, concepts of operations, and standard operating model documents.
  • Adjust to shifting priorities, stringent deadlines, last minute requirements, and frequent evening/weekend hours to accomplish tasks within non-negotiable client deadlines
  • Act as the central point for solution development (when directed)Evaluate the technical solicitation requirements
  • Work with the technical teams to develop content that is clear, effective, and consistent
  • Educate leadership on the latest solution and technology best practices
  • Mentor and prepare other solution architects and technical experts within the organization to meet the current and future (new market) business challenges
  • Make significant contributions to the development and continuous improvement of best practices and templates that can be utilized by other teams and solution architects in future pursuits
  • Support a positive and inclusive team environment
  • Take and conduct training as necessary

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with preferred concentration in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering, or other STEM disciplines OR a bachelor’s degree and Ten (10) years’ experience working in technical management and delivery.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in proposal development for Federal and/or State solicitations and analyzing / understanding solicitation requirements.
  • 5-8 years of experience in three (3) of the following project areas, with expertise in at least one (1): networking, software/systems/application development, hardware engineering, operations, system architecture, cloud architecture, cyber security, ITIL framework, or agile development
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in systems architecture design and deploying, as well as one or more major programming languages (C#, Java, JavaScript, Rub, Perl, .NET, PHP, or Python)
  • Experience as a solution architect and/or technical volume lead on pursuits and proposals
  • Strong technical breadth and depth in support of the government markets; solution architecture, implementation, operations, and modernization; and contract performance with demonstrated technical leadership and customer relationship building.
  • Ability to work with various technology partners, facilitate technology solutioning sessions, and work towards progressing the technology partnership status.
  • Ability to effectively articulate solutions and discuss business problems with customers and senior management, positively influencing outcomes
  • Understands competitor/teammate technology offerings
  • Excellent communicator – both written and oral
  • Experience in public speaking and presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering, or other STEM disciplines
  • IT Certifications (Cloud, AWS/Azure)
  • Experience developing solutions involving data sciences, artificial intelligence, or robotic process automation
  • Experience developing or managing DevOps solutions that rely on cloud-based infrastructure
  • Training in formal capture/proposal methodologies with knowledge and experience in industry-wide best practices in proposal management
  • Knowledge and understanding of Federal, State, and Local government procurement regulations and practices (including FAR and DFAR)
