Primary Role
Reporting to Director of Strategic Capture for clients Customer Solutions Information Technology Herndon VA, responsible for capture execution for strategic IT services and solutions bids.
Works with business development, operations, and support teams to understand Federal DoD and civilian business initiatives as precursor to formulating value-added services and solutions. In a strategic capture leadership role, manages competitive assessments, develops teaming and solution strategies, and delivers client messages to key customer stakeholders.
Leads development of opportunity win strategies, reflected in and executed through an approved capture plan. Leads a matrixed team of functional and support specialists throughout the engagement from qualification through opportunity closure. Works with senior management to balance resource priorities to ensure continual, consistent progress through marketing, solution, staffing, teaming, and pricing elements of the capture plan. Position may require travel.
Functional Capabilities & Experience
- Experience within the U.S. Federal government contracting environment
- Successful track record positioning for and closing Federal civil and DoD opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams to formulate compelling value propositions comprised of business, technical and management offerings
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills with past experience as a leader responsible for the successful delivery of major milestones
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Education
Bachelors of Science with at least 5 years specialty experience within an industry best practice business development environment
