Our client is a major technology company with over $25B in revenues. Our client’s IT Division is one of the largest providers to the U.S. Government. With over 4,200 employees in 30 states, it is a full-service solutions provider of information technology systems and services and offers a broad spectrum of network and managed IT operations.

Position Description

Oversees the building and maintaining of long term relationships with specific government clients. Reviews, evaluates and approves (in conjunction with Operations) opportunities for business expansion and new markets.

Primary responsibility for identifying, qualifying, bidding, and winning new business within the National Intelligence and Security Community. Involved in developing, modifying and executing business policies which effect immediate operations. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations.

Manages the activities of two or more business development staff. Provides leadership and expertise throughout the new business Capture and Proposal life cycle and contract management. Responsible for balancing the business portfolio with respect to business expansion/near-term opportunities and strategic/long-term opportunities.

Specific job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

Develop business strategy plan for the IC customer in coordination with Operations. Execution of CSOG Unified Business Development Process. Collaboration across the CSOG (Customer Solutions Operating Group) and client company.

Ensure new business portfolio is in alignment with IT Strategic Intent and IBP business forecast. Develop strategic business profile, market segmentation, product requirements and product/market mix.

Develop input for strategic planning to include Strategic Intent, competitive analysis, budget analysis, integrated business plans, and new business funds requirements.

Monitor business opportunity pipeline and work with Operations and finance to provide accurate forecasts against current year value plan. Build and implement a plan for strategic partnerships with selected product and service companies. Conduct periodic review and best practices gap analysis of business development best practices, tools, policies and procedures.

Identify and establish Client’s-IT membership in strategic industry associations. Leverage corporate resources to articulate Client IT’s service offerings to include managed IT operations, all-source analysis, information sharing, applications development/mission support, and enterprise architecture.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Must have the following

  • BS (or equivalent combination of training and experience)
  • 12+ years directly related experience including five years of leadership experience
  • Knowledge of the Intelligence Community and its components, missions, and interrelationships as well as an understanding of IC external relationships with DoD, Civilian Agencies and Congress.
