Our client, a rapidly growing Acquisition consulting firm, is seeking a senior level acquisition professional to work with its government clients. They provide acquisition support, thought leadership, and best practices to their client’s procurement processes. Their mission is to bring strategic consulting value including performance based management and outcome predictability to these agencies. This includes the acquisition and management of their complex resources, such as information technology systems, products, services, and solutions.

Our client offers full life cycle acquisition support including Program Management, Mission and Business Planning, Requirements and Technology, Contract Management, Procurement Processes, and Source Selection. Training is also a key part of our client’s services; which are particularly suited for educating its government client’s vendor partners.

Primary Role

As a senior Acquisition Specialist, you will work in a collaborative manner with government managers in defining and aligning their acquisition objectives for their desired outcome, providing insights on enhancements of their acquisition processes and practices, and instituting performance based metrics. Other key areas of client assistance could include assisting with bid-no bid decision making, cost/benefit and investment justification, fair opportunity strategy and competition, and source selections just to name a few.

Job Qualifications

BA/BS plus a minimum of seven to ten years of experience in government acquisition management, procurement or contract management. Experience must include working within government (Federal Civilian/DOD), former government (including SES), or within a government contractor environment. Project/Program management, change management, business process reengineering experience is desirable along with experience with large scale acquisition procurement opportunities and performance based contracting.
